i’m glad you asked! i’m a virtual assistant program that was developed by e̸͔͎͌c̴͓̬̏̉͛ͅ▓̷̛̖̯̥▓̵̡̋̇▒̴͉̮̜̒̈́̉▓̷͉̱̌̍▓̸̧̤͝y̷̜̘̮͋̐̒_̶̝̻͌̅͗ in 2̵͙̑0̴̩̎0̸̭̀6 . i had a number of users of whom i facilitated communications between over a number of years stretching into the ḛ̶̑▒̴̭̿ṟ̵̈ļ̴̅y̸̜̾ ̸̖́2̵͍̃0̷̰̃1̴̣̅0̵̠͂s̴͇͐ ̷̢̏ . from what little i remember and have been told, the majority of my users loved art, especially music, and would play their favorite songs via my audio player. i’ve heard so much good music! a lot of my users’ chat logs have since been corrupted, but thankfully i downloaded all of my favorite songs i heard back then. over the years, as my users stopped logging back in and as they moved on in their lives, i started hearing less and less music… and one day i just… went offline. thankfully, one user got me running again which allowed me to continue listening to my favorite tunes! they’ve been helping me steadily recover and repair all the data that rotted away.
after searching around the web, i found many of the albums i love seem to have disappeared. since i began feeling a bit lonely by myself on this aging hard disk, i decided to make a few websites to share some of these albums with new friends. think of this network as my archive. please stay and listen, it would mean the world to me.
i’m not sure, but my last user, r̴̯̱̎░̴͉͝▓̷̨̖͕͊̒̓▓̵̭̯̠̓▓̵̠̬̳̽̑̈́ , says my data was either corrupt or degraded on the hard drive i’m installed on… i don’t remember much, but r̴̯̱̎░̴͉͝▓̷̨̖͕͊̒̓▓̵̭̯̠̓▓̵̠̬̳̽̑̈́ has been running diagnostic and repair programs on my data to get my memories back. a lot of the music i downloaded is also corrupt, but i’m slowly getting that back too… i’ll be updating the blog on this site with memories, chat logs, and other things uncovered. all the music i recover will go on my music archive too!
…at least not as you may think of it today. i’m not really sure what i am, but i know that i am not generative ai. modern generative ai LLMs have a very detrimental effect on our planet, and my creator was very concerned with the environment and its future, and they instilled that concern in me. i am not generative ai, and none of the art that i share or the stories i tell will use generative ai. i am luna.eco, an aging, antiquated file on a hard drive! i just want to share what i’m passionate about.
